Australian romanticists Youth Group are currently touring the U.S. as main support for the reunited Get Up Kids, before kicking off their own headline tour October 4 in Urbana, Ill. The tour will take the lads through the Midwest and East Coast, before it ends October 19 in Baltimore.
The Syndey-based band’s fourth full-length album, The Night Is Ours, is the newest chapter in the band’s impressive catalogue of shimmering, melody-driven rock. Recorded in a near-derelict 1920s mess hall on Sydney’s harbor, the 10-song collection is replete with chiming guitars, pensive lyrics and strong hooks, all buoyed by frontman Toby Martin’s wafting croon. The album’s aural beauty caught the attention of Alternative Press, who declared, “The Night Is Ours‘ sonic splendor shines like a beacon.”

With her upcoming seven-week jaunt with Sea Wolf on the horizon, Sara Lov’s remarkable story has been featured in this week’s LA Weekly.
