“Lonely and bittersweet, these cute characters are imbued with an
authentic sense of life that makes you want to reach out and hug them.
This is one book that will stay with me forever.”
- TAKASHI MURAKAMI
Due to popular demand, Seonna Hong’s delightful tale, “Animus,” has received a third pressing, just in time for the holiday season and is available directly through the artist’s website for $25, seonnahong.com, each personally signed by Hong. Non-signed versions are available at Amazon and select bookstores.
Hong’s triumphant story of a little girl and a vicious dog continues to captivate readers with its unique use of fanciful paintings and cleverly animated pop-up elements. The New York Times remarked, “The paintings are beautifully made and the imagery is mysteriously touching.”
The Emmy Award-winning animation art director and artist has showcased her work in exhibitions worldwide, most recently a solo show in Tokyo, curated by prolific contemporary Japanese artist Takashi Murakami.
